Putting It All Together

I started assembling Log Cabin blocks into strips tonight and got about half done before I ran out of steam. But what fun--the variety of fabrics makes me laugh every time I look at it. There's some of the "Dogs in the alley eating Chinese food scraps" fabric. And there's some of the fabric that a helpful someone pointed out to me (in one of my quilts) as the ugliest fabric she'd ever seen. Thank you! And the stuff with the fishing flies. And "How to find a husband" fabric. LOL

Can't wait till it's all in one piece.

And as you can see, Streak of Lightning won out. There was never any real competition--it's nice and zoomy.

Streak of Lightning is my all-time favorite log cabin set. This is going to be a fun quilt.

sounds like perfect fabric for a scrap quilt. that's what makes them so fun, searching out the ugly and wild.

Looks great! It's just the sort of quilt to cuddle under (so much to look at!) but the graphic streak of lightening makes it awesome from a distance, too. What more could you want?

The great variety of fabrics is what makes it so darned appealing! What fun for someone to study it. But that's just one level, the second level is the great design it makes, and the third level will be the quilting! It's just wonderful!
